Three kinds of small

Small Caps turns lowercase letters into capital shapes at x-height, like a quiet heading. Superscript raises letters and digits above the line, as in footnote marks or squared units. Subscript lowers them, as in chemical formulas.

Handy for more than decoration

Superscript works for exponents like m² and ordinal endings. Subscript covers formulas such as H₂O. Small caps are a nice way to add a tagline under a name.

What is not covered

Unicode has complete small-cap forms for nearly every letter, but only partial subscript letters (a, e, h, k, l, m, n, o, p, s, t, x). Letters with no small form are kept as plain characters so the text stays readable.

Questions about small text generator

Why are some letters not shrinking?

Unicode does not define every letter in every small style. The tool leaves those characters plain instead of showing a broken symbol.

Can I write a whole sentence in superscript?

You can, but it is hard to read. Use it for short notes.

Does small caps work in a username?

Often yes, but many platforms restrict usernames to plain letters. Use it in your display name or bio instead.
