How the glitch effect works
Glitch text stacks combining accents above and below each letter. Every press of Shuffle chooses a different random mix, so no two outputs are the same.
Why ours stays small
Many “Zalgo” generators pile on dozens of marks per letter. That can overflow lines, hide neighbouring text and slow down or crash some apps. This tool limits each letter to a maximum of two accents above and two below, so the effect is clear and the output stays safe to paste.
Good, and less good, places for it
Horror or cyberpunk captions, gaming names, a dramatic title, or a joke in a chat. Avoid it in anything people need to read quickly or in forms that check characters, since it can be rejected or misread.
Questions about glitch text generator
Is glitch text safe to copy?
Yes. With a small, fixed number of marks per letter it is safe for normal chat and social apps.
Why is my glitch text different each time?
The marks are chosen at random on purpose. Press Shuffle until you like the look.
Can screen readers read glitch text?
Often poorly. If accessibility matters, add the message in plain text too.
